The Louisville Metro Police Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2006 to create a non-partisan partnership between the men and women of the Louisville Metro Police Department and the Louisville business community.

The Foundation includes a Board of Directors made up of local business professionals, clergy, and other civic leaders. Each board member serves a staggered three year term. All members have a desire and commitment to furthering police and community partnerships through their active and voluntary participation on the board. Financial compensation or gain is not provided to any board member.

The Foundation supports the LMPD in numerous ways, including:

Providing support and feedback to Colonel Robert C. White, Chief of Police, LMPD

• Providing open, honest and ongoing communication between the Police Department and the community

• Building goodwill in our community for the men and women of the LMPD

• Providing financial support to initiatives deemed necessary by Chief White to further develop LMPD Officers

• Providing resources to the Police Department to use for all Public Safety

• Providing support to build coalition between Chief White and the community
